Coming up in our March sale is a fantastic lot of memorabilia from the Cosworth Engineering Ltd. firm (lot 239a, estimate £300-£500), a company founded in 1958 as a British racing internal combustion engine manufacturer. The lot includes two commemorative Bassett Lowke model engines presented to members of the Cosworth Engineering firm by Keith Duckworth - Chairman of Cosworth and designer of the DFV engine. The first features a replica of the engine used in Jim Clarke's racing car to commemorate 100 Formula One World Championship victories achieved between 1967-1977 with engines manufactured by Cosworth Engineering. The second model was presented to commemorate 150 wins in US Champ-Car racing and 20 consecutive Indianapolis 500 mile race victories (1977-1987) achieved with DFX engines manufactured by Cosworth Engineering.
